We had a feral cat that entered our summer trailer and used it as a litter box all winter long. When we went to open the trailer in April, we almost died from the smell! We cleaned everything up, but the urine odor was so strong we thought it was hopeless. I came across your site when I googled “my house smells like cat pee” and one woman said she used for skunk odors. Then I started googling room shocker and read about it. This was our last hope!! I had a musty/mildew smell in my bedroom for over a year. Tried everything, bleach, household sprays, bottles of borax, and too many other remedies that didn’t work.
We set a Room Shocker up in the bed room and went shopping for about 6 hours. Came back and not only was the odor gone but the room smelled really great.
Of course we vented the room before sleeping in it.

I have a rental house that had really bad cat smell after the tentans left. I even had a home inspector tell me that it was the worst house he had smelled in his 20 yrs of inspecting. Long storey short (please stop me if you’ve heard this one before) a skunk walks under the house where there’s an electronic rat zapper…… Two weeks later, I am still showering & dressing at work, doing laundry and removing it promptly from the house (ie stuffing it in a plastic bag and then running like h@ll for the front door) and the house now smells like skunk and a mixture of about 15 odor removal products (including all of the usual suspects you read about on the internet for skunk odor removal). Then my husband read about roomSHOCKER and we odered one for every room in house and 2 for under the house (and paid the overnight shipping cost in total desperation). Upon there arival, we set the roomSHOCKERs off and spent the night with relative who had taken pitty on us (of course we showered and changed our close as soon as we got there). Skunk odor 911. Our dog, Buddy, got sprayed by a skunk at 5:00am and came into the house to try to remove the spray from his face . I purchased the autoShocker, after placing the container in the car I expected to see vapors of white, but all I saw was the pouch turn yellow.
The instruction didn’t say what to expect. What exactly are you suppose to see? Is it a invisable vapor? Nothing is happening except for the tablet turning yellow. Just wondering… I hope it works.

I have an old wood dresser with a horrible odor inside the drawers which were unstained originally as the outside is beautifully finished (this piece is close to 90 years old). Does anyone have suggestions for elimating this odor?
Our products will remove the odor. What you should do is use our ClO2 Liquid Shocker with a pressure sprayer or even a regular spray bottle. You can generate a strong or mild formula. Each Liquid shocker pouch can make a 2 gallon or 5 gallon solution. I think the 5 gallon solution will be strong enough. Always test a small part of the surface that you will be treating to make sure it does not bleach. Then spry the inside of the drawers and the inside of the main body of the dresser. Spry it generously. Let it soak into the wood. let it dry for about an hour. Then repeat the proses a few more times. That should take care of the problem.

It’s rare when I use a product that seriously changes my life. When my dog was sprayed by a skunk this past Thursday night and ran into the house without me knowing it had happened, well, life as I knew it, had changed.

I ordered the room shock quick release treatment in order to deal with the cigarette smoke odor left by a tenant who had smoked in a rental apartment for nearly two years. After scrubbing down the walls and ceilings and repainting, and then throwing away the blinds, light bulbs, carpeting, and anything else that was removable, the apartment still smelled of cigarettes. I am giving up smoking and I want my house to look, smell and feel clean. I have read so much info on the internet about ridding your house and furniture of the cigarette smoke odor that I am feeling overwhelmed. So please help me by answering my questions. (1) Prior to using your product do I need to clean wood work, furniture, walls, floors, curtains, blinds, etc. with an ammonia and vinegar based solution, or do that after use?(2) My house is 2500 sq.ft. with 10 ft. ceilings, 11 rooms; how much of your product do I need to buy?(3) Can I put the product in closets filled with clothes and it will rid clothes of the smell?(4) Should rugs be steam cleaned before or after use of your product? (5)Will the smell come back even if no smoking is allowed in house?(6) Are the instructions with your product very clear on how to use it? My dog Willow took a direct hit to the face and chest with skunk spray, before I realized that she had been sprayed, I let her in the house and in minutes she managed to rub her face, head and body on almost every soft surface in my home, beds, sofas and rugs, in an attempt to get relief and the damage was done. The smell permeated everything in the house, pillows, curtains, mattresses, purses, briefcases, belts, etc., even things that were in the closets and drawers. Even after countless loads of laundry, floor washing and surface cleaning, the smell was still there. I was devastated! A Friend found your website and I ordered and used the house shocker kit with dog spray and auto shocker. I cannot thank you enough for these products, THEY WORK , there is not even the slightest trace of skunk any longer in my home, car or on my dog and belongings. I would highly recommend these products and plan on purchasing the 30 day time release product for maintenance.
Kathy, here are the replies to your questions/comments:
(1) It is always a good idea to clean the home thouroughly to remove any excess tar that has accumulated on the walls over time.
(2) One single room shocker will treat a single room of 400 sq/ft with 8 foot ceilings, in other words, 3200 cubic feet. You will need at least one room shocker for each room, unless the room exceeds the square footage mentioned. At minimum you will need 11 room shockers but you may need additional room shockers for the rooms that exceed the minimum measurements.
(3) There is no need to place a room shocker in the closet, unless it is a large walk-in closet. Simply leaving the closets open is enough for the room shocker to work on it’s content. The only caveat is if the closet is very tightly packed, then you can just hang the items around the room.
(4) There are detailed instructions inside each container, but if you have any question, please do not hesitate to call us at 877-792-4624.

Hi, we have a prob we’ve been dealing with for years and can’t figure out what it is. If our clothes sit in the dresser not used for 4 weeks or more, the cotton clothes smell funky and sometimes can be washed out (depending on how long its been sitting). Now my kids rooms seem to have the problem (this applies to all the linens in my closet too) I was hoping to take the clothes out of the drawers in my room and leave the drawers strewn around the room (is there anything I can use to wash the clothes) and set out 2 shockers in my room (it’s approx 4400 cubic feet due to cathedral ceiling). Do you think this would work? I’m guessing that it’s some kind of mold. If this works in my bedroom I was going to order enough to bomb the whole house (3000 square feet). Thanks for any advise you can give.

You are correct that it is probably mold. It could also be the glue in the furniture. What you need to do is as you said, take out the drawers place them standing on their side in the room. Take the cloths and hang them up in the room where they can be exposed to the Room shocker vapors and set off two Room Shockers for a complete 24 hours. After the treatment, wash the cloths with your regular detergent. That will take care of the problem for you.
How long will this product last? In other words, let’s say it is a musty smell in the basement. How long before the musty smell returns and another treatment is needed?
No pets in the room that is being treated. The rest of the house is okay. If it’s a small place or single room apartment then treat the space for the full 24 hours. Have the bird out for that time. Once treatment is finished air out the place for an additional hour before bringing your bird back. Let us know how it goes!
It depends on the source of the smell. If there is mold or mildew that will keep generating new smell, you may need to treat again (and you really should clean the source of the odor). If you remove the source and are just left with the lingering odor then our product will destroy that lingering odor.
I want to get the cigarette stink out of the house. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats how long will I have to keep them out of the house. I have 16 ft ceiling in the living room would it help to set the product ontop on 8ft cabinet so it could penetrate ceiling?
Well that depends on how long the smoke has been there and how much. Cigarette odor is one of the toughest to remove because it gets trapped in the ceiling and textiles in the room whether its carpet curtains or couches.
Since you have the high ceilings it makes it even tougher. I would recommend leaving it for the longest duration possible. The product will releases Chlorine Dioxide for up to 24 hours. You don’t have to remove the pets from the home if you can put them in a room that is not being treated. The product is non-toxic but it is an irritant. I would let the Room Shocker do its magic for a full 24 hours. After that you can air out the house for about half an hour and that should do it. For the room with the high ceilings I recommend you set of two Room Shockers in that space and yes putting it on top of the cabinet will help the Chlorine Dioxide get to the higher spots quicker which makes best use of the treatment time.
I bought a used SUV and did not realize it was a former smoker’s car until the deal was done. Anyway since I got for a good deal I was not worried and figured out I would get some odor remover and get rid of the smell. Several years ago a rat died in the space between our bathrrom cabinet area and the outside brick. I recently rented a house and I noticed a small odor when I moved in. Once I got everything moved in the odor began to grow and grow. This will sound like somebody put me up to it, but I have to say WOW!, that stuff really does work! OK. I read all of these comments and thought “this must be too good to be true”.
